July 16 (Mon) Monday Musings

Written by Mary on July 16th, 2007

After my morning walk I sat waiting expectantly in front of my bowl of plain kibble. I don’t know why, but this time it worked - I got bits of my doggie sausage that I like!

In the afternoon, I got to go for a drive and I got to go to the BEACH! We went to the tidepools. Mary was hunting for something, but I have to admit she’s not a very good hunter. She didn’t find any five-legged creatures to take photos of… I got to run back and forth and sniff things on the sand, and I even got my paws wet! On the way home, I kept trying to keep my head out the window. I’m now able to withstand faster speeds… Must… build… tolerence…

I’m rather tired after my outing, but I want daddy to know that I am still enjoying my Pixar plushie!

Looks like he’s still interested in the bird. BTW, that bird fetched almost $40 on Ebay. Ummmm…did you buy him that little shopping cart to store all his toys? And what’s that he’s plopping on?

He certainly looks like he’s enjoying himself a little too much. He just might bark at me the next time he sees me.

Chip really looks like he’s matured and grown up while staying with you. I think you’re going to get more business at Camp Mary if you keep this up. ^_^ Oh and I LOVE THAT SHOPPING CART!!

Ahem. Chip has expensive tastes? I am not inclined to hoard things just to collect them? I don’t know. The cart was on my desk at my previous job - the birds and a doll were crammed in there, along with snacks and candy. I stopped after a while because buying candy all the time got expensive.

I have two floor pillows right now, and he sometimes likes the one on the floor. (He is not allowed on my futon, by the way)

I don’t know about matured. At the beach Chip was pulling on his leash the entire time wanting to run off and explore! I kept him close. We have a picnic tomorrow night and I’m thinking of taking him to HB’s dog beach, but I’m worried about taking him off leash on the sand. He may take off and not look back? What do you think?

Hahaha…..Your assumption is correct about him taking off and not looking back. Believe me, you don’t want to experience that feeling of not having control over him. In any case, even if he does, he’ll come back to you eventually.
