July 9-11: Chip’s Midweek Post

Tuesday: walk, kibble boring didn’t eat, guard, sleep, walk, kibble still plain 
nap, walk, guard, sleep
Wednesday: walk, refused peanut butter, resigned to dry kibble, nap, guard, nap, short walk kinda warm, kibble with 1/2 boiled egg acceptable, car ride! waited outside Lowes, NEW TOY!!! played for 20 minutes, long walk, asleep next to new toy…
<Mary - My friend works at Pixar and gave me a couple of stuffed birds from their Oscar award winning animated short. One makes a noise when you shake it, the other when you squeeze it. I was taking stuff out of my close and Chip was next to me. I held up the bird and he perked up. I squeezed and the ears were forward, attention riveted… I gave him the bird and he ran off to play. After taking a bunch of pictures, I left the room but Chip came to get me with a big smile because he wanted me to watch him play! Chip carried the bird back and forth between rooms, squeaking away. I think about 20 minutes in one stretch is a record? I was told to keep the tags on the birds, they aren’t many of them and they are special or something. Well, one still has them, and one is now a play thing… I put his toys in a basket on the floor and he already pulled out the bird…

Mary!!! You gave Chip a rare plushie? I actually recognize that bird. It was from one of the best animated shorts made by Pixar. Heck I would’ve loved to have that bird myself. I’m jealous. I just checked on Ebay, and found one selling for $17 with still 3 days to go. I think you may have given chip a $50 chew toy. That spoiled rotten brat!!!

*sigh* If Chip rolls belly up with the toy in his paws, that means he LOVES that toy.
@William - You’ll need to ask Chip for permission to play with it.

I have the other bird from the pair, as well as an official Japanese version (this one is on an elastic cord and makes a noise as it bounces up and down). Will, you can play with the other ones if you like! Chip was playing with it this morning again…
